Producing a kilo of beef produces as much greenhouse gas as a long drive. Putting 1kg (2.2lbs) of beef on the dinner table produces the same amount of carbon dioxide as driving a car 250km (156miles) or light a 100-watt bulb for nearly 10 days!!
