I NEVER LIKED MICE…
When Knightstone offered us computer courses, I was
one of those who signed up for the ‘First Steps’. A group of us went along to The Foyer to meet Barry Lewis our tutor. Luckily Barry has had a lot of experience with ‘Mature’ students and was therefore unbelievably patient with us.
First, a whole new language: icons, toolbars, cut and paste, hold and drag and, of course, click. Click left, click right, single click and double click. I clicked all over the place. My little arrow zoomed all over the screen and often right off it.
We tackled all sorts of things. Barry explained, I forgot, and Barry explained all over again. And again.
Before we knew it, our two hours were up and it was time to go. I realized how much I had enjoyed it. I enjoyed the other sessions just as much and I was sorry when they came to an end.
And the mouse ? Who doesn’t like mice ? You must mean someone else !
